Getting There

  • Shuttle

    From the Mariposa Grove Welcome Plaza, take the free shuttle to the Mariposa Grove Arrival Area. The shuttle operates from approximately mid-April to late November, but check the current schedule on the Yosemite National Park website. From the Arrival Area, follow the signs for the Mariposa Grove Trail. The Faithful Couple is located along this trail. The shuttle is free. Parking at the Welcome Plaza is free, but can fill up by mid-morning.

  • Walking

    From the Mariposa Grove Welcome Plaza (if the shuttle is not operating or you prefer to walk), follow the Mariposa Grove Road or the Washburn Trail. It's a 2-mile hike with a 500-foot elevation gain to the Mariposa Grove Arrival Area. From there, follow the signs for the Mariposa Grove Trail to reach the Faithful Couple. Walking is free, but be prepared for an uphill hike.

  • Driving

    During winter months, the Mariposa Grove Road is closed to vehicles. Those with a disability placard can drive up the Mariposa Grove Road at any time and park at the Mariposa Grove Arrival Area or at the Grizzly Giant accessible parking area. Parking is limited. From there, follow the signs for the Mariposa Grove Trail to reach the Faithful Couple. A standard entrance fee of $35 per vehicle is required to enter Yosemite National Park. This pass is valid for 7 days.
