Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from the Yosemite Village Visitor Center. Exit the Visitor Center and head towards the main road, which is called Southside Drive. Walk towards the east along Southside Drive until you reach the junction with Northside Drive. This should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you reach the junction, turn left onto Northside Drive. Continue walking along Northside Drive for approximately 1 mile. You will pass several scenic viewpoints along the way. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Yosemite Valley View, as you are getting closer. After about 20-25 minutes of walking, you will reach the parking area for Yosemite Valley View. The viewpoint is just a short walk from the parking area, where you will be greeted with stunning vistas of the valley.

    If you have access to a bike, you can start from the Yosemite Village Visitor Center. Rent a bike from the nearby rental station if needed. Begin your ride on Southside Drive heading east. After about 0.5 miles, you will arrive at the intersection with Northside Drive. Turn left onto Northside Drive, which is a scenic route. Continue biking for about 1 mile, enjoying the views along the way. After approximately 10-15 minutes of biking, you will arrive at Yosemite Valley View.
