Getting There

Walking
From Yosemite Village, start at the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center. Exit the visitor center and head east on Southside Drive. Continue on Southside Drive for about 0.5 miles until you reach the junction with the Happy Isles Road. Turn left onto Happy Isles Road and follow it for about 1.5 miles. You will see signs for the Nature Center at Happy Isles. The center is located near the trailhead for the John Muir Trail.

Biking
If you have access to a bike, start at the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center. Head east on Southside Drive. After approximately 0.5 miles, turn left onto Happy Isles Road. Continue on this road for about 1.5 miles. You will find the Nature Center at Happy Isles on your right, just past the parking area for the John Muir Trail trailhead.

Shuttle Bus
During the peak season, you can take the Yosemite Shuttle. Board the shuttle at any designated shuttle stop in Yosemite Village. Look for the shuttle route that goes towards the Happy Isles. The shuttle will take you directly to the Nature Center at Happy Isles stop, which is located close to the entrance of the center.
