If you are traveling by car, start from Salento, Quindío. Head towards the main road leading out of Salento, and follow the signs for Valle del Cocora. The journey is approximately 11 km and should take around 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the entrance to the Cocora Valley. You will see the entrance on your left, where you may need to pay a small fee for parking, usually around 5,000 COP.

Public Transportation (Jeep)
From Salento, you can take a 'Willy' or jeep, which are shared taxis that frequently run to Valle del Cocora. This option is quite popular among tourists. Head to the main square in Salento, where you will find the terminals for these jeeps. The fare is usually around 3,000 COP per person. The ride takes about 30 minutes, and the jeeps leave when full. Inform the driver you are headed to the 'Sendero de Excursionismo Valle del Cocora'.

Walking
Once you arrive at the Valle del Cocora, you will need to walk to the Sendero de Excursionismo. After getting off the jeep, follow the trail that leads into the valley. The path is well-marked, and you should be able to see signs directing you to the various hiking trails, including the Punto de Control. This walk from the jeep drop-off to the trailhead is approximately 1 km and takes about 15-20 minutes.
