Once in town, follow Bennett Avenue to the east end where the train depot is located. Parking is available in several lots along Bennett Avenue, with free and paid options. Parking rates vary, but expect to pay around $5-$10 for a few hours.

The Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad offers a unique and scenic journey into Colorado's rich mining heritage. Since 1967, this family-owned railroad has been delighting visitors with its coal-fired, open-air locomotives. The 2-foot narrow-gauge railway operates on a revitalized section of the original Midland Terminal Railway and the Florence and Cripple Creek Railroad. The four-mile round trip takes passengers through the heart of the Cripple Creek and Victor mining district. The train departs from the historic Cripple Creek Midland Depot, originally built in 1894 as the Anaconda station. The route travels south, passing the old Midland Terminal Wye over a reconstructed trestle, and continues past numerous historic mines. A stop at Echo Valley provides impressive photo opportunities. The train terminates near the deserted mining camp of Anaconda before returning to Cripple Creek. During the 45-minute ride, a knowledgeable guide provides an interesting and educational narration about the area's dynamic gold rush history. Passengers will learn about the hardy miners who flocked to the Cripple Creek District when its population approached 50,000. The open-air cars offer unobstructed views of the stunning landscape and historic mining structures. The railroad operates seasonally, from mid-May through early October.
