Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting at the Bridgeport Train Station, head northwest on Railroad Avenue toward Main Street. After about 0.2 miles, turn right onto Main Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with John Street. Turn left onto John Street. The Downtown South Historic District will be on your left, specifically between the addresses 194 and 296 John Street.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Bridgeport Bus Terminal, take the 5 or 7 bus route towards the Downtown area. Alight at the stop near the intersection of Main Street and John Street. Walk south on Main Street for a few minutes until you reach John Street. Turn left on John Street, and the Downtown South Historic District will be located between 194 and 296 John Street.

• Walking

  From the University of Bridgeport, head northwest on University Avenue toward the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and walk for about 0.5 miles. At the intersection with John Street, turn right. The Downtown South Historic District is located on your left side between 194 and 296 John Street.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, you can ride from Seaside Park. Exit the park and head east on Seaview Avenue. Turn left onto Main Street and continue for about 1 mile. Turn left onto John Street. The Downtown South Historic District will be on your left between 194 and 296 John Street.
