Getting There

  • Driving

    Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo is located at 1875 Noble Avenue in Bridgeport. From I-95, take exit 27 and follow signs for CT-25 N/CT-8 N. Merge onto CT-25 N/CT-8 N and take exit 5 for Boston Ave. Turn right onto Boston Ave, then turn left onto Noble Ave. The entrance to Beardsley Park and the zoo will be on your right. Parking is free. Note that during special events, parking may be directed to specific lots within the park.

  • Public Transport

    The Beardsley Zoo can be reached via public transportation. From the Bridgeport Transportation Center, take the #1 or #9 bus. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Noble Avenue and East Main Street, then walk north on Noble Avenue into Beardsley Park. The zoo entrance will be on your right. A single bus fare is $1.75.

  • Walking

    If you are already within Beardsley Park, follow the internal park roads towards the center of the park. Look for signs directing you to the zoo entrance. The zoo is located on the eastern side of the park, near the intersection of Noble Avenue and Beardsley Park Drive. From the James Beardsley statue near the park entrance on Noble Avenue, walk along the main park road, following signs for the zoo. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes.
