Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading to Bridgeport, Connecticut. From I-95, take exit 27 for US-1 South towards Bridgeport. Follow US-1 South (Main Street) and turn left onto East Washington Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront area. You will need to find a nearby parking facility as Fayerweather Island Light is located on a small island. Note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared with cash or a card.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a Metro-North train to Bridgeport Station. From the station, you can catch the Bridgeport bus (Route 10) which will take you towards the waterfront area. Get off at the closest stop to the waterfront and walk towards the end of the street where you can access the docks. From there, you will need to hire a local water taxi or a ferry to reach Fayerweather Island Light, which may incur additional costs. Ensure to check the water taxi schedule ahead of time to avoid long waits.

  If you are already on the water or have access to a boat, you can navigate to Fayerweather Island Light directly. The lighthouse is located at approximately 41.1424° N latitude and -73.2174° W longitude. Approach the island carefully, as it is surrounded by shallow waters. Anchor your boat in a safe spot nearby. Please note that landing on the island may be restricted, so check local regulations before proceeding.
