Public Transport
From Manhattan, take the A train to the 175th Street or 181st Street station. The 175th Street station is connected to the George Washington Bridge Bus Station via a pedestrian tunnel. From the bus station, follow signs to the bridge pathways. Alternatively, several MTA bus routes, such as the M4, M5, M100, Bx7, M98, Bx3, Bx11, Bx13, Bx35, and Bx36, stop near the bridge entrances. Bus fares typically cost $2.75 per ride.

Walking
From Upper Manhattan, access the bridge's north walkway near the corner of West 180th Street and Cabrini Boulevard. From the New Jersey side, the north walkway entrance is located on Hudson Terrace, north of the bridge overpass. Note that the south walkway is currently closed for construction until 2026. There is no toll for pedestrians.

From New Jersey, access the bridge via I-95 or the Palisades Interstate Parkway. From Manhattan, use 178th Street to reach the bridge. Tolls are collected electronically only when entering New York. As of July 6, 2025, the toll for cars is $18.31 via Tolls by Mail, $16.06 during peak hours with E-ZPass, and $14.06 during off-peak hours with E-ZPass. Peak hours are weekdays from 6-10 AM and 4-8 PM, and weekends from 11 AM to 9 PM. Parking near the bridge can be found in Fort Lee and Washington Heights , with rates varying. Limited street parking is available.
