Car
If you're traveling by car from The Quiet Corner, start by getting onto CT-44 W. Follow CT-44 W until you merge onto I-84 W toward Waterbury. Continue on I-84 W for about 30 miles. Take exit 4 for US-9 N toward Fishkill. Merge onto US-9 N and continue for approximately 12 miles. Take the exit for I-87 N toward Albany. After about 10 miles, take exit 17 for NY-300 toward New Windsor. Continue on NY-300, then turn left onto Temple Hill Rd. The New Windsor Cantonment State Historic Site will be on your left at 374 Temple Hill Rd, New Windsor, NY 12553. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around $5.
