Walking
From the center of Avatiu, head towards the coast where you will find the main road. Walk along the coastline towards the northwest. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main road leading to Arorangi. At the intersection, turn left onto the main road (Ara Tapu). Keep walking along this road for about 30 minutes, enjoying the scenic views of the ocean on your left side. You will pass various local shops and cafes. Look for signs directing you to the Discover Marine Wildlife and Eco Centre as you approach Arorangi District. The Eco Centre is located at Q57F+J3M, Arorangi District, just off the main road. It will be on your right side, and there should be a sign indicating the entrance.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Avatiu harbor area and ride towards the Ara Tapu road. Follow the same walking route; however, you can cover the distance quicker. Cycle along the main road heading northwest for about 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for the Eco Centre signs, and be cautious of the traffic. The Eco Centre is located at Q57F+J3M, Arorangi District, on your right side as you approach.

While there may not be a direct public transport route from Avatiu to the Discover Marine Wildlife and Eco Centre, you can catch a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Arorangi. Ask the driver to drop you off near the Eco Centre, located at Q57F+J3M, Arorangi District. Always confirm with the driver if the stop is close to your destination. Once you get off, it may be a short walk to the Eco Centre.
