Be aware that the road into the valley is steep and winding, so drive carefully.

To reach Miriam's Quetzals via public transportation, take a bus from San José to San Isidro de El General. From San Isidro, take a bus to Cartago. Once in Cartago, transfer to a local bus heading to Copey. Inform the driver that you want to get off at C. San Gerardo. From there, the restaurant is a short walk (approximately 500 meters). Bus fares from San José to Cartago are approximately ₡1000-2000 [cr to usd]. The local bus from Cartago to Copey will be an additional ₡500-1000 [cr to usd].
