Car
From any location in Blackbird State Forest, head towards Blackbird Landing Road. If you are on Route 1, take the exit for Route 299 towards Townsend. Follow Route 299 until you reach the intersection with Blackbird Landing Road, and turn left. Continue on Blackbird Landing Road for approximately 2 miles until you reach 801 Blackbird Landing Rd. The entrance to Blackbird Creek Reserve will be on your right.
Public Transportation
While there is limited public transportation directly to Blackbird Creek Reserve, you can take a bus to Townsend. From the Delaware Transit Corporation, check the schedule for the nearest bus stop to your location. Once you arrive in Townsend, you will need to use a rideshare service or taxi to get to 801 Blackbird Landing Rd, as the reserve is approximately 3 miles from the nearest bus stop.
Walking
If you are already at a nearby location within Blackbird State Forest, you can walk to Blackbird Creek Reserve. Make your way to Blackbird Landing Road, and follow the road south for about 2 miles. The reserve entrance will be on your right. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes, as the walk may take 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.
