From anywhere in The Delaware River and Bay Authority Region, take Route 1 South (Coastal Highway) toward Lewes. Continue on this route until you reach the junction with Route 9. Take the exit for Route 9 East toward Lewes. After approximately 5 miles, turn right onto the access road that leads to the National Harbor of Refuge. Follow signs to the harbor. Parking is available nearby, and there may be a fee, so be sure to have cash or a credit card ready.

If you are traveling by public transportation, take the DART First State bus service. Check the bus schedule for the nearest stop to your location. You will want to take the Route 204 bus towards Lewes. Get off at the bus stop closest to Route 9. From there, you can either walk for about 1.5 miles to the harbor or arrange for a local taxi or rideshare service for convenience. Be aware that the bus fare is approximately $2, and you should have the exact change or a prepaid DART card.
