Walking
From the center of Soufrière, head northwest on the main road, Route 1, towards the village of Blanchard. Continue along Route 1 for about 3 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the Soufrière Bay. Once you reach the junction at Blanchard, take a left onto R2PF+CH7. Follow this road for about 500 meters, and you will see the entrance to the Des Cartier Trail on your right. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trail can be a bit challenging.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Soufrière and head northwest on Route 1. Cycle past the beautiful views of Soufrière Bay, and keep going for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach Blanchard. At the junction, turn left onto R2PF+CH7. Follow this road for about 500 meters until you reach the Des Cartier Trail entrance. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules while cycling.
