Getting There

  • Car

    From Kuusamo, take Route 5 (E63) towards Oulu. After approximately 25 km, exit onto Myllykoskentie (Road 868) towards Oulanka National Park. Follow Myllykoskentie for about 10 km until you reach Lilla Björnrundan, which is well-signposted. Parking is available at the trailhead. Parking is free.

  • Public Transport

    Take a bus from Kuusamo to Oulanka National Park. Buses run several times a day; check schedules at the Kuusamo bus station. From the park entrance, walk approximately 2 km along Myllykoskentie to reach the trailhead. Bus fare: approximately €5-€10.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Karhunkierros Trail or Oulanka Visitor Centre, you can walk to Lilla Björnrundan. From the Karhunkierros Trail, head towards Myllykoskentie. The walk is scenic and takes approximately 30 minutes. Follow the marked trails from the Visitor Centre.
