Walking
From the Colmar train station (Gare de Colmar), exit the station and turn left onto Rue des Jardins. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach Place de l'Ancienne Douane. Continue straight onto Rue des Marchands, which will lead you into the heart of the old town. As you walk, you'll see beautiful half-timbered houses and quaint shops. Follow the street as it bends slightly to the left, and then turn right onto Rue des Tanneurs. Keep going until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Ancienne Douane, and then turn left. After walking a short distance, you will arrive at Gedenksäule, located at Jacob-Burckhardt-Straße 19. The area is pedestrian-friendly, making it perfect for exploring on foot.

Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transport, from the Colmar train station, take Tram Line A towards 'Gare de Colmar'. Disembark at the 'Saint-Gildas' stop after 2 stops. From there, walk towards the north on Rue de la République. Continue straight for about 300 meters, and then take a slight left onto Rue de la Liberté. After another 200 meters, you will see the intersection with Jacob-Burckhardt-Straße. Gedenksäule is located at number 19, just a short walk from this point. This option is convenient and gives you a glimpse of the city while traveling.
