Walking
If you are starting from Freiburg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head south towards the street called 'Bismarckallee'. Turn right onto 'Bismarckallee' and continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with 'Stadtstraße'. Turn left onto 'Stadtstraße'. The Old Cemetery will be on your right after a short walk (about 300 meters). It should take you around 15-20 minutes to walk there.

From the Freiburg main train station (Hauptbahnhof), take Tram Line 1 (towards 'Littenweiler') or Tram Line 3 (towards 'Zähringerstraße') from the tram stop located right outside the station. If you are near the Freiburg Cathedral (Münster), head south on 'Salzstraße' towards 'Unterlinden'. Continue straight until you reach the 'Kaiser-Joseph-Straße' and turn left. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach 'Bismarckallee'. Cross the street and continue walking straight. When you reach 'Stadtstraße', turn left and the Old Cemetery will be on your right in about 5 minutes. The total walk from the Cathedral is about 20-25 minutes.
