Walking
From Vaitape, the main town on Bora Bora, Popoti is accessible by taxi or rental car to a certain point, followed by a hike. From Vaitape, head east along the main circle island road. Look for signs indicating the trailhead, which may not be clearly marked. The hike itself takes around 2-3 hours, depending on your fitness level. There are no entrance fees for the trail.

Taxis are available on Bora Bora, but they can be quite pricey. A taxi from Vaitape to a point near the Popoti trailhead will cost approximately 1,500 XPF (approximately $13 USD) as a starting price, with an additional 130 XPF (approximately $1.15 USD) per kilometer. Be sure to agree on a price with the driver before starting your journey. Your resort can also help you to book a taxi.
