Getting There

  • Bus

    From Papeete, head to the main bus station at Gare routière de Papeete. Look for the bus heading towards the eastern part of Tahiti and ask if it stops at Mataiea. Once aboard, enjoy the scenic ride along the coast. After approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes, alight at the stop closest to Mataiea. From there, walk about 10-15 minutes towards the ocean. Ask locals for directions to Source Vaima. Bus fare is approximately $8.
