Public Transport
From Papeete, take the bus towards Papara. Buses depart frequently from the Gare Routière (main bus station) in Papeete. The bus ride to Papara typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Once in Papara, walk south towards the coast for about 10-15 minutes to reach Taharuu Beach. Bus fare is approximately 450 XPF.
Taxi
Taxis are available from Faa'a International Airport (PPT) or Papeete. A taxi ride from Papeete to Taharuu Beach takes around 36-44 minutes. Expect to pay around 7,000-8,000 XPF for the trip. Agree on the fare with the driver before starting the journey.
Driving
Rent a car from Faa'a International Airport (PPT) or Papeete. Drive along the Route de Dégagement Ouest (RDO) south towards Papara. The drive takes approximately 44 minutes. Parking is available near the beach. Car rentals start from 7,000 XPF per day.
