Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Freiburg's main train station (Freiburg Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head northeast on Eisenbahnstraße. After about 300 meters, turn left onto Bismarckallee and continue straight for approximately 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Kaiser-Joseph-Straße. Turn right onto Kaiser-Joseph-Straße. This pedestrian-friendly street is lined with shops and cafes. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters; you will notice the stunning Freiburg Minster (Freiburger Münster) ahead. Münsterplatz is located directly in front of the Minster. You can’t miss it!

Tram
From Freiburg Hauptbahnhof, you can take Tram Line 1 or Tram Line 3. Board the tram in the direction of 'Littenweiler' for Line 1, or 'Bahnhof' for Line 3. After three stops, disembark at the 'Schwarzwaldstraße' stop. From there, walk straight for about 150 meters until you reach the intersection with Kaiser-Joseph-Straße. Turn left and continue walking on Kaiser-Joseph-Straße for about 400 meters. You will see the impressive Freiburg Minster (Freiburger Münster) at the end of the street, and Münsterplatz is located right in front of it.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations near Freiburg Hauptbahnhof. From the station, head northeast on Eisenbahnstraße, then turn left onto Bismarckallee. From Freiburg Hauptbahnhof, take Bus Line 11 towards 'Zähringer Str.' or Bus Line 14 towards 'Hochschule für Musik'. Ride for three stops and get off at 'Stadttheater'. After disembarking, walk straight for about 200 meters until you reach Kaiser-Joseph-Straße. Turn left and walk along Kaiser-Joseph-Straße for approximately 400 meters until you can see the Freiburg Minster. Münsterplatz is right in front of the Minster.
