Getting There

    From the central square, Marktplatz, head southeast towards Domstraße. Continue on Domstraße until you reach the intersection with Residenzplatz. Turn left onto Residenzplatz, and you will see the Würzburg Residence at Residenzpl. 2, 97070 Würzburg. The entrance is clearly marked and the impressive architecture will be visible from a distance.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    If you are starting from a farther location in Altstadt, you can take Tram Line 1 or Line 2 from any nearby tram stop to the 'Residenzplatz' stop. Once you exit the tram, walk towards Residenzplatz, and the Würzburg Residence will be directly in front of you. Make sure to purchase a ticket before boarding, which costs around €2.00 for a single journey.
