Getting There

    If you're starting from Heraklion, take the KTEL bus from the central bus station (Station KTEL Heraklion) to Anogia. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Anogia, you can follow the signs to the hiking trails leading to Mount Ida.

  • Bus

    From Chania, catch the KTEL bus to Rethymnon, then transfer to another KTEL bus to Anogia. This journey will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes in total. After reaching Anogia, look for signs that point towards the paths leading to Mount Ida.

  • Taxi

    From either Heraklion or Rethymnon, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Anogia. This will be more expensive than the bus, but it’s a convenient option, especially if you are traveling in a group. The taxi ride from Heraklion to Anogia takes about 30-40 minutes.
