Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from central locations in Central Hungary such as Székesfehérvár or Gödöllő, take the M7 motorway towards Budapest. Follow the signs for the city center and merge onto the M1 motorway. Continue following signs for Bécsikapu tér. Once you arrive, parking is available nearby, but be prepared for potential parking fees, which can range from 300 HUF to 600 HUF per hour.

• Public Transportation - Train

  For those using public transportation, take a train from major towns in Central Hungary like Székesfehérvár to Budapest. The train will take you to Budapest's Nyugati Railway Station. From there, you can either walk to the Vienna Gate, which is approximately 30 minutes away, or take tram number 4 or 6 from Nyugati to Széll Kálmán tér, and then switch to bus 21, which will take you to Bécsikapu tér.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, several local bus companies operate routes from towns in Central Hungary to Budapest. Look for buses heading to the Budapest bus terminals, such as Nepliget or Stadionok. From there, take metro line 3 (blue line) to Deák Ferenc tér, then transfer to metro line 2 (red line) to Széll Kálmán tér. From there, you can catch bus 21 to Bécsikapu tér.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, once you arrive at Széll Kálmán tér via tram or bus, you can walk to Vienna Gate. The walk takes approximately 15 minutes. Head east on Széll Kálmán tér, then continue straight until you reach Bécsikapu tér, where the Vienna Gate is located.
