From the Hengifoss Waterfall parking area, head east on Road 1 (also known as the Ring Road) for approximately 10 km. Look for the turnoff to Öxi Road (Road 766) which will be on your right. Follow Road 766 for about 4 km until you reach a small parking area near Hænubrekkufoss waterfall. The hike to the waterfall is about 1.5 km from this parking area, and you'll need to walk along a marked path leading through the scenic landscape.

Take a bus from Egilsstaðir, which is the nearest town with public transport services. Buses run regularly to the vicinity of Hengifoss. Once you arrive at the Hengifoss stop, you can either walk to the waterfall or use local taxis to reach Öxi Road (Road 766). Note that public transportation schedules may vary, so check the latest bus times. From the Öxi Road junction, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach Hænubrekkufoss waterfall.
