If you're driving from Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading east. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit onto Route 931 towards Hallormsstaðaskógur. Follow Route 931 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the park. There are signs along the way directing you to the forest. Parking is available at the entrance, and it is free of charge.

From Egilsstaðir, you can take a bus operated by Strætó (the public bus service) towards Hallormsstaður. Check the Strætó website for the current schedule, as services may vary. Once you arrive at Hallormsstaður, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the entrance of Hallormsstadhaskogur. Follow the signs, and enjoy the scenic walk through the beautiful surroundings.
