    Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from Egilsstaðir, the largest town in the East Fjords. Head northeast on Route 1 (the Ring Road) until you reach Route 93. Turn onto Route 93, which will take you towards Jökuldalur Valley. Follow Route 93 for approximately 30 kilometers until you see signs for Jökuldalur. From there, continue on the Jökuldalsvegur road for about 10 kilometers. You will find the main access to Stuðlagil Canyon at the coordinates 65.1638967, -15.311905. Look for a parking area along the road where you can safely leave your vehicle.

    Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Egilsstaðir to the nearest stop on Route 93. Check with local bus services for the latest schedules, as they may vary. Once you arrive at the closest bus stop to Jökuldalur, you will need to walk approximately 10-15 kilometers to reach the main access. Be prepared for a hike, as public transport does not go directly to Stuðlagil Canyon. Ensure you wear good walking shoes and carry enough water.
