    From the main visitor center in Skaftafell National Park, drive south on Route 1 for approximately 8 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Dverghamrar. Turn right onto Road 998 and continue for another 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area for Dverghamrar. From there, it is a short walk to the rock formations.

    Take the local bus from the main visitor center in Skaftafell National Park to the nearby town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. From Kirkjubæjarklaustur, you can either rent a car to drive to Dverghamrar following the same directions as above, or you can hire a local taxi service to take you directly to the site.
