Getting There

  • Car

    From Aosta, take the A5 highway towards Pont-Saint-Martin and continue towards the Aosta Valley. Merge onto the SS26 and follow the signs towards Courmayeur. Once in Courmayeur, follow the signs to the Mont Blanc tunnel, but instead, take the exit towards Zermatt (Switzerland) through the valley. Drive until you reach Zermatt, where the road ends. Note that Zermatt is a car-free village, so you will need to park your car at one of the parking facilities (like the Zermatt Parking Garage). Parking costs around €16 per day.

    After parking your car in Zermatt, walk to the Zermatt train station. From there, take the Gornergrat Bahn, which departs regularly.
