To reach the Grand Tour of Switzerland ViewPoint Gornergrat-Matterhorn, start from Zermatt, which is the nearest town with access to Gornergrat. From the Zermatt train station, board the Gornergrat Railway (GGB) which is a cogwheel train. The train departs regularly, and the journey to the Gornergrat takes approximately 33 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the station, and prices vary depending on whether you are going one way or round trip; expect to pay around CHF 92 for a round trip. The train offers stunning views of the Matterhorn and other peaks along the way. Once you arrive at the Gornergrat station, you will find the Grand Tour of Switzerland ViewPoint just a short walk from the station.

Driving and Parking
If you are driving, the nearest you can get to Gornergrat is to park in Zermatt, as the town is car-free. Park your vehicle in one of the parking garages in Täsch, which is about 5 km from Zermatt. From Täsch, take the shuttle train (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn) to Zermatt; the ride takes about 12 minutes. Once in Zermatt, follow the previous guidance on taking the Gornergrat Railway to reach the viewpoint.
