Car
If you're traveling by car from Chikuzen to Fukuoka Castle Ruins, start by heading south on Route 3. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach Fukuoka City. Once in the city, follow the signs for Chuo Ward. You will need to park at a nearby facility, as there is no parking directly at the castle site. The closest parking is the Fukuoka Castle Ruins Parking Lot (Fukuoka-jo Kankou Parking) located at 1-1 Jonai, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka. Expect to pay around 500 yen for parking.

Public Transportation
To reach Fukuoka Castle Ruins using public transportation, start by walking to the nearest bus stop in Chikuzen. Take a Nishitetsu bus bound for Fukuoka (approximately 30-40 minutes). Disembark at Tenjin. From Tenjin Station, transfer to the subway and take the Kuko Line towards Meinohama. Get off at Akasaka Station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the castle. Alternatively, you can take a Nishitetsu train from Chikuzen to Fukuoka (Tenjin) station and then follow the same subway and walking directions. The total transportation cost should be around 800 yen.
