Getting There

• Public Transport

  To reach Sugi no Baba from Fukuoka City, start by taking the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. Board the train heading towards Omuta and disembark at the Kurume Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once at Kurume Station, transfer to the Nishitetsu Amagi Line, and take the train towards Amagi. Get off at Akizuki Station (about 20 minutes from Kurume). From Akizuki Station, you can either take a local bus towards Sugi no Baba or opt for a 25-minute walk. If walking, head northeast on Route 210, then follow the signs to Sugi no Baba. The address is Akizukinotori, Asakura, Fukuoka 838-0011.

• Bus

  From Fukuoka City, you can also take a highway bus directly to Asakura City. Board the bus at Hakata Bus Terminal and choose a route that stops at Asakura. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once at Asakura Bus Terminal, take the local bus or taxi to Sugi no Baba. The local bus is usually available, and you can ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Sugi no Baba.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Fukuoka City. Take Route 3 out of the city towards Asakura. The ride is about 25 km and will take approximately 1.5 hours. Make sure to follow bike lanes where available and keep an eye on traffic. Once you reach Asakura, navigate towards Akizukinotori, where Sugi no Baba is located.
