Getting There

    If you are driving from Chikuzen to Dazaifu Tenmangu, head south on Route 3 (Fukuoka Prefectural Route 3) for approximately 20 kilometers. Follow the signs for Dazaifu. You will need to pay tolls if you take the expressway, which may vary but expect around 500 yen. Once you arrive in Dazaifu, look for parking facilities nearby, as the shrine does not have its own parking area.   • Public Transportation (Train)

    To reach Dazaifu Tenmangu using public transport, take the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line from Chikuzen to Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station. The journey will take approximately 25 minutes. From Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station, transfer to the Nishitetsu Dazaifu Line and take the train for 5 minutes to Dazaifu Station. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to Dazaifu Tenmangu.
