JR Hakata Station Square is directly accessible from all exits of Hakata Station. Follow the signs within the station to the main square. From the Hakata Exit (west side), it's a short walk across the plaza. From the Chikushi Exit (east side), walk through the station concourse.

The square is integrated with Hakata Station, a major transportation hub. If arriving via Fukuoka City Subway, follow signs for JR lines and Hakata Station exits. Multiple city bus routes also stop directly at Hakata Station. A single subway fare within the city is around ¥260. Bus fares vary depending on the distance, with a typical fare around ¥260.

Taxis are readily available at Hakata Station. Taxi stands are located outside both the Hakata and Chikushi exits. A short taxi ride from nearby areas like Tenjin will cost approximately ¥1,080. From Fukuoka Airport (FUK), a taxi to Hakata Station costs around ¥2,500 and takes 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

If driving, several parking facilities are available near JR Hakata Station. Hakata Station Central Parking Lot is one option, with rates of ¥200 per 30 minutes between 8:00 and 20:00 (maximum ¥1500) and ¥100 per 60 minutes between 20:00 and 8:00 (maximum ¥400). Hotel Nikko Fukuoka also has parking, with general use costing ¥400 for the first hour and ¥200 for every 30 minutes thereafter. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak hours.
