Experience Kosoku-ji Temple

Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Hakone, head towards Route 1. Follow the signs for Odawara and continue along Route 1 for approximately 10 km. Take the exit toward Kamakura on Route 134. Continue on Route 134 for around 15 km until you reach Kamakura. Look for parking near Hase Station, as parking near Kosoku-ji Temple is limited. From the parking area, it's a short 10-minute walk to the temple.

  • Public Transportation

    From Hakone, take the Hakone Tozan Railway from Hakone-Yumoto Station to Odawara Station. This train ride will take around 15 minutes. Once at Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Line and take a train towards Kamakura. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Hase Station. From Hase Station, Kosoku-ji Temple is a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs toward Hase Temple; Kosoku-ji is located nearby.

    If you prefer taking a bus, from Hakone, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Hakone Tozan Bus towards Odawara. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer at Odawara Station to a bus heading to Kamakura. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Get off at Hase Station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Kosoku-ji Temple, following signs towards Hase Temple.
