Once you arrive at Takao Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the Mt. Takao cable car station. The cable car ride to the top of Mt. Takao takes about 6 minutes and costs around 480 yen.

    If you are driving, start by heading towards Route 1 from Hakone. Follow Route 1 until you reach the intersection for Route 20 towards Hachioji. Continue on Route 20 for about 25 kilometers. Once you reach Hachioji, look for signs directing you to Mt. Takao. You will need to park at the designated parking areas near Takao Station, which usually costs around 1,000 yen per day. From the parking area, walk to Takao Station and follow the above steps for public transportation to reach the cable car.
