Car
If you are driving, head towards Hachioji from Hakone. Take the Route 1 towards Tokyo and follow the signs for Takaosan. Once you reach Takaomachi, look for signs directing you to the Takaosan Station. There is parking available near the station, but be aware that it may have a fee ranging from 500 to 1000 JPY depending on the duration of your stay.

Public Transportation
To reach Takaosan Station via public transportation, first make your way to the nearest train station in Hakone, such as Hakone-Yumoto Station. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, take the Odakyu Line to Shinjuku Station. At Shinjuku, transfer to the JR Chuo Line and head towards Takao Station. At Takao Station, transfer to the Takaosan Cable Car (Takaotozan) which will take you up to Takaosan Station. The entire journey may take approximately 90 minutes and costs around 1500 JPY for the train rides and an additional fare for the cable car.

Walking from Takaosan Station
Once you arrive at Takaosan Station, exit the station and follow the signs towards the Observation Deck. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes and is well-marked. The path is mostly uphill, so wear comfortable shoes. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
