If you are driving, head south from the center of Hida towards Takayama on Route 158. Follow the signs for Takayama. Once you reach Takayama, continue on Route 158 until you see Teppomachi. Turn left onto Teppomachi, and you will find Shoren-ji at 6 Teppomachi, Takayama, Gifu 506-0857. There is ample parking available nearby.

Public Transportation - Train
Begin by taking the JR Takayama Line from Hida to Takayama Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Takayama Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. From there, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Shoren-ji. If you prefer walking, it is about a 20-minute walk from the station. Just head southeast on Route 158, then turn left onto Teppomachi, and you will reach Shoren-ji.

If you are already in Hida, look for the Nohi Bus service that operates from various locations in Hida to Takayama. Purchase a ticket to Takayama. Upon arrival at Takayama, you can either take a taxi to Shoren-ji, which is a short distance away, or walk for about 20 minutes. To walk, head southeast on Route 158 and turn left onto Teppomachi. The temple is located at 6 Teppomachi, Takayama.
