Once you arrive in Takayama, look for signs directing you to Atagomachi. Turn left onto Atagomachi Street and continue until you reach 67 Atagomachi, where Daiou-ji temple is located. Parking may be available nearby, but check for any parking signs before leaving your vehicle.

Public Transportation - Train
From Hida, take the train from Hida Takayama Station to Takayama Station. This journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Takayama Station, exit the station and walk to the bus terminal located just outside. Take the bus heading to Atagomachi; the bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the Atagomachi stop, and from there, it is a short walk to Daiou-ji temple at 67 Atagomachi. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times.
