    If you're traveling by car, start from central Hida and head towards Takayama. Take Route 158, which is well-marked and takes you through scenic areas. Once in Takayama, follow signs for Atagomachi. Turn onto Atagomachi Street, and continue until you reach 67 Atagomachi, where Daiou Temple is located. There is limited parking available near the temple, so plan accordingly.

  • Public Transportation - Train

    To reach Daiou Temple using public transportation, take the JR Takayama Line from Hida to Takayama Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Takayama Station, exit and board a local bus heading towards Atagomachi. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Atagomachi stop, and from there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Daiou Temple at 67 Atagomachi.
