Getting There

  • Train and Ferry

    From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Sanyo Line towards Miyajima-guchi Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Miyajima-guchi Station, follow the signs to the ferry terminal. The ferry to Itsukushima Island departs frequently, approximately every 15 minutes. Purchase a ticket at the ticket counter or use a prepaid IC card. The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes, and you will arrive directly at Itsukushima Island.

  • Streetcar and Ferry

    From the center of Hiroshima, you can take the Hiroshima Electric Railway (streetcar) Line 2 or 6 from any nearby streetcar stop heading towards Miyajima-guchi. Get off at the Miyajima-guchi stop. The journey takes around 60 minutes. After disembarking, follow the signs to the ferry terminal, where you can purchase tickets for the ferry to Itsukushima Island. The ferry departs every 15 minutes and takes about 10 minutes to reach the island.
