From Hiroshima Station, purchase a ticket to Miyajima-guchi Station. Take the JR Sanyo Line (local train) towards Hakata and ride for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Miyajima-guchi Station.

Once you arrive at Miyajima-guchi Station, follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Miyajima Island. The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes and offers scenic views of the bay.

After disembarking from the ferry at Miyajima Island, head straight towards the Itsukushima Shrine. Follow the main pathway from the port, which will lead you through a lively shopping street. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the shrine. The Gojūnotō (five-story pagoda) is located within the shrine grounds, so you will see it as you approach the main shrine area.
