If you are driving, head towards the Tōhoku Expressway from Hitachi. Follow the expressway signs and take the exit towards Ueno. Once you exit, follow the signs to Taito City. You can use a navigation app and enter the address: 4 Chome-7-10 Motoasakusa, Taito City, Tokyo 111-0041. There is limited street parking available around Kōmyō-ji, so be prepared to find a spot nearby.

For those using public transportation, start at Hitachi Station. Take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. This journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Board a train heading towards Asakusa and get off at Asakusa Station. From Asakusa Station, Kōmyō-ji is about a 10-minute walk. Exit the station, head southeast on Kaminarimon Street, and then turn left onto Motoasakusa Street. The temple will be on your right.
