From Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) towards Asahikawa. The drive should take around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Exit at the Higashikawa Interchange and follow Route 39 north towards Higashikawa. Once in Higashikawa, follow the local signs to the park. There is usually no parking fee, but confirm on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Sapporo to Asahikawa Station via the JR Hakodate Line. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. From Asahikawa Station, transfer to a local bus heading towards Higashikawa. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Get off at the nearest bus stop to Kitoushi Forest Park. Combination of Train and Taxi
Another option is to take the train from Sapporo to Asahikawa Station, then hire a taxi from there to Kitoushi Forest Park.
