Getting There

  • Bus

    From JR Asahikawa Station or Asahikawa Airport, take the Asahikawa Denkikidou "Ideyu-go" bus bound for Asahidake Onsen. Get off at the Asahidake Onsen bus stop, the last stop on the route. The visitor center is a short walk from the bus stop. The bus ride from Asahikawa Station takes about 90 minutes. A one-way fare is around ¥2,240.

  • Car

    From Asahikawa, follow the signs for Asahidake Onsen. The drive takes approximately 70 minutes from JR Asahikawa Station and 50 minutes from Asahikawa Airport. Parking is available at the Asahidake Visitor Center. From July 1st to September 30th, parking fee is ¥500 per day.
