Car

If you are driving to Higashiyama Jisho-ji, start from the center of Ise City. Head northwest on Route 42 toward Ise Bay. Follow signs for Tsu/Kyoto and merge onto the Ise Expressway. After about 40 kilometers, take the exit for Kyoto. Continue on Route 1 toward Sakyo Ward, Kyoto. Follow local signs to Ginkaku-ji (Higashiyama Jisho-ji) as you approach the area. There is a parking lot near the temple, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around ¥500 per hour.
Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take the Kintetsu Limited Express from Ise-shima Tetsudo Ise Station to Kyoto Station. The journey takes about 2 hours. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus #100 or #203 toward Ginkaku-ji. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Ginkaku-ji stop, and you will find Higashiyama Jisho-ji a short walk from there. The bus fare is around ¥230.
Taxi

Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Ise to Higashiyama Jisho-ji. This option is more convenient if you are traveling in a group or have a lot of luggage. The taxi ride will take approximately 1 hour and may cost around ¥15,000 to ¥20,000, depending on traffic.
