    If you are traveling by car, head towards Sakyo Ward in Kyoto. Use the following address for GPS: 59 Nanzenji Kitanobocho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, 606-8446. From central Kyoto, take the Ryozen Sanroku Road. Follow signs for Nanzen-ji Temple. Upon reaching Nanzen-ji Temple, look for signs directing you to Kōun-ji Temple, which is located nearby. There is parking available at the temple, but be prepared for a small fee, typically around 500 yen.

    To reach Kōun-ji Temple using public transportation, take the Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 204 from Kyoto Station. Ride to the 'Nanzenji Eikando-michi' stop. The bus fare is about 230 yen. After getting off, head towards Nanzen-ji Temple, which is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow signs to Kōun-ji Temple, which is within walking distance (approximately 10 minutes).
