Car
From central Kagoshima, head southeast on Takamori Road (Route 3). Continue straight for about 2 km until you reach Terukunicho. Turn left onto Terukunicho, and after about 500 meters, St Francis Xavier Cathedral will be on your right at 13-42 Terukunicho. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some areas may charge a fee, typically around 300-500 yen for a couple of hours.

Take a bus from Kagoshima Chuo Station. Look for the bus stop for the 'Kagoshima City Bus' and find a bus heading towards Terukunicho. The journey should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Disembark at the 'Terukunicho' bus stop. From there, walk for about 5 minutes to reach St Francis Xavier Cathedral, which will be at 13-42 Terukunicho. Bus fares range from 200 to 300 yen.
