If you're traveling by car from Satsuma, head northeast on Route 3 towards Kagoshima City. After approximately 40 kilometers, follow signs for Route 10 towards Kagoshima. Continue on Route 10 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the city center. Look for the signs indicating 'Kagoshima City Museum of Art' as you approach Shiroyamacho. Note that there is parking available nearby, but expect to pay a fee of around 300-500 yen per hour.
